About Steve Powell
Steve Powell is a native of Maryland who has established himself as one of Maryland's Top Realtors and Investors throughout the state. Steve's experience in Real Estate began in 1989 when he purchased his first home as age 19 with less than $4,000. Two years later at 21, Steve began accumulating additional properties to rent out for income. By the age of 25, Steve had over 10 homes with 22 rental units that provided a solid income base business. At the age of 30, Steve was able to semi-retire because of his real state holdings had grown to over 32 properties with over 65 rental units. At that time, Steve was able to leave the corporate world and began his career as a full-time Realtor in 2000.
Since entering the Real Estate business as a Realtor in 2000, Steve has listed and sold over $80,000,000 worth of properties and over 510 homes throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania. In 2007, while the economy was collapsing, Steve was able to have his best year in Real Estate, doubling his business. He sold over 23 homes alone for Lennar, Ryan Homes, Patriot and South Mountain Builders while servicing over 60 other clients. In 2010, Steve partnered with another Realtor to take over the brokerage where he worked and is now an Owner Operator of RE/MAX Achievers in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Steve is considered and expert in his field and teaches Real Estate Investing and Landlord Principles seminars. Steve has been a featured speaker at the Washington County Landlords Association, Hagerstown Community College, Hagerstown Home Store and the PenMar Association or Realtors. He also has a weekly Real Estate column in the Herald-Mail Newspaper entitled, “Lets Talk Real Estate”.
